Terms of Use

Version: October 14, 2026

In short

  • You can read the site without an account at any age. You can make an account from 16.
  • Treat others as you would in a park: no harassment, no other people’s personal data and no content you were not allowed to publish.
  • Photos, results and records show real people. If something on the site affects you, report it: I review and answer.
  • Exercise carries a risk of injury. Information on the site, including tips from other users, is not the advice of a doctor or a coach, and park locations can be wrong.

These Terms of Use govern the use of the Calisthenics Balkan platform (the site, parks, athlete profiles, clubs, events, results, records, the Skill Atlas, the blog and related services, together the “Service”). If you make an account or use the parts that need one, you accept them. You can read the public pages without that. The Service is free. The operator may receive voluntary contributions to cover running costs; they unlock nothing and give no advantage in content. The platform is run by one person (see section 14), so in this text “I” means the operator.

1. Who can use what

You can read public content (parks, guides, events, blog) without an account and with no age limit. You can make an account if you are at least 16. That is my rule for accounts, not for reading: the GDPR and the BiH Law require a parent’s consent for children under 16 when consent is the basis of processing, and I have no way to check that reliably. When you register (by email or with Google) you confirm that you are 16 or older and that confirmation is recorded; no date of birth or document is asked for. If I learn that an account belongs to someone younger than 16, I may suspend or remove it. Stories and interviews and coach and judge profiles are available only to people who confirmed that they are 18.

2. Account and security

Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Give accurate details and tell me if you suspect someone got into your account. You can have an account with email and password or with a Google account. An account created with Google has no password with me; you are responsible for the security of that Google account. You can delete your account in the settings at any time.

3. Rules of conduct and content

You must not: break the law; harass, insult or threaten; impersonate someone else; publish other people’s personal data, contact details, address or photos without permission; publish nudity, sexual content or content that incites hatred or violence; publish photos in which a child or a person under 18 can be recognised without the permission of that person and of a parent or guardian; use the site for spam or advertising; upload malicious code or bypass protections. I do not review images and text before they are published (except parks, park photos, city photos, skill tips and public Journey tips, which are reviewed before they become public), so I rely on reports and my own checks. If content breaks the rules, I may hide or remove it, restrict or suspend an account, or delete it. A person does the review, not an automated system. I act in good faith, proportionately and without arbitrariness, bearing in mind freedom of expression.

4. Your content

Content you add (photos, profile text, reviews, suggestions, tips) stays yours. You have the right to publish it, and you give me a non-exclusive, free licence to show and keep it within the Service until you remove it. You are responsible for having the right to publish it (copyright, the consent of people in a photo) and for its accuracy. Athlete profile photos exist only while the profile is public; when you make it private, they are deleted (see the Privacy Policy). Parks and park photos are reviewed before publication and I may refuse them.

5. Competition results and records

Event results are entered by the event organiser or by me. Results and records are public and may include people without an account. The organiser is responsible for having the right to publish them and for their accuracy, and when a row may contain a minor the organiser expressly confirms that at publication. If there is a reason to assume a competitor may be a minor, a shortened name is shown without the club and without a profile link, and the same applies to a record (see the Privacy Policy). The full name of a certainly adult record holder may be public. If you find yourself in a result or record and do not want it to be public in that form, or it is wrong, tell me: I will correct it, change how the name is shown or remove the row. You can claim results to your profile with a request that I review.

6. Content reports and my decisions

Anyone, even without an account, can report content they think is illegal or breaks these rules: the “Report content” or “Report” button on a page, the contact form (type “Content report”) or email [email protected]. Write where the content is (link), explain why it is a problem and confirm the details are accurate; leave your name and email if you want a confirmation of receipt and an answer. I review reports without delay and decide in good faith and objectively. The options are: leave the content, correct it, hide it, remove it or suspend an account. I notify the person whose content I restrict and give the reason and how they can object, and a reporter with an account gets a notification in the app and an email when the report is closed (whether a measure was taken or no ground for a measure was found; without data about the reported person) and how to object, while someone who left an email in the contact form gets an answer by hand. An objection is sent through the contact form or to the same email and is reviewed by a person; there is no separate appeal procedure or out-of-court dispute body. The platform is run by one person and I have no moderation team, so an answer can take time, but I will answer. For reports that concern children or immediate danger I act first. If it is a criminal offence, contact the police as well.

7. Public profile, clubs, organisers and professional profiles

An athlete profile is your choice: it is private until you publish it. Appearing on a public list of clubs or club members requires the approval of the club or of me, and I may refuse or revoke it if it does not meet the rules. Registering alone does not make you a public member of the community. A coach or judge profile is optional, only for people 18 or older, and is public only after I approve it; you can pause or delete it. Whoever applies as a coach or judge is responsible for being allowed to do that work and for what they offer. I do not check qualifications, licences or criminal records, I do not broker the arrangement, I do not take payment and I am not responsible for an agreement between you and a coach or judge. An event organiser is responsible for the accuracy of the events and results they publish. Tips from other users (on skills and in the Journey) are personal experience, not the advice of a doctor or a coach.

8. The platform’s content

The design, brand, text and code of the Service (except content uploaded by users) belong to Calisthenics Balkan or its licensors. Do not copy or redistribute them without written permission. Park data taken from public sources I use with respect for their licences (for example OpenStreetMap).

9. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time. I may restrict or end access if you break the rules or abuse the Service, or for security reasons. Whenever I can, I state the reason and how to object by email and by a notification in your account.

10. Exercise risk and accuracy of data

Calisthenics carries a risk of injury. Content on the Service, including tips from other users, is not the advice of a doctor, physiotherapist or coach; consult a professional before a new activity. Check parks and equipment before use: locations, equipment and data come from the community and open sources and may be inaccurate or out of date. The Service is provided “as is” and I do not guarantee that it will work without interruption.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Calisthenics Balkan is not liable for indirect or consequential damage or for an injury at a park or a location shown on the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, or limits rights that you have under mandatory rules.

12. Governing law

The law of Bosnia and Herzegovina applies, and the courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise.

13. Changes to the terms

If the Terms change materially, I will notify you on the site or by email and update the version. The version you accepted at registration is recorded with your account. Continuing to use the Service after a change means acceptance; for material changes I may ask for acceptance again.
